HSDL (Het Schip de Lading) is a project about collaboration and sharing subjects of personal value. Local people of the municipality of Leeuwarden were invited to participate and build a life-sized ship (Community art) The entire project was initiated and curated by the artist Marten Winters.

The map displayed here is the plan/proposal for the continuation of this project. In 2018 the city of Leeuwarden is designated to be the Cultural capital of Europe. By that time the ship built by participants sails throughout Europe.
